Lisa Morales is an amazing mixed media artist from Houston, Texas. Paper is Lisa’s passion and the main material she uses to create her whimsical collage art. At the age of 42, Lisa took her first drawing class at a community college. Design, color, and collage classes soon followed at the Glassell School of Art. She exhibits at many art festivals throughout the year and has won awards with her unique art style.
One of the best and biggest art shows Lisa attends is the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar held in Austin, Texas each December. This 11 day event showcases 150 artists and features 33 different bands in its 11 day run. How does Lisa stock up for an 11 day show? PRINTS!!
Canvas prints to be more precise. In addition to her original art and gift items, Lisa orders canvas prints from Penny Lane to round out her inventory. Prints are a perfect way to offer someone who might not have a budget for original artwork to still have a purchase option. And people LOVE the wrapped canvas prints – no frame required! The price point makes them a great gift option as well for customers who are buying holiday gifts.
With so many prints to wrap before the big show, Lisa employs her daughter, Kyndall, to help with the handiwork. Much of the money earned through art show sales helps to pay for Kyndall’s riding lessons, so she never complains about being put to work and texts her mom daily to find out how many prints were sold.
