Art was a natural part of life for Carrie L. Knoff while growing up. Her father was a jazz musician and her mother was an artist. One of her earliest memories and inspirations was watching her turn the simple line drawings in her coloring books into amazing illustrations using shading and adding elements.
When her father moved them to the country at the age of six, Carrie developed a love for nature, patterns and the antiquity that was found in the old farmhouses and outbuildings where she lived. The effect that time has on things caused her to lean more toward the primitive country style in her art. In recent years she has added digital art to her acrylic painting, sometimes even combining the two.
Family and the curiosity and appreciation of all things are the guiding forces in Carrie’s life.
